Is Steve Jobs Ignoring History, Or Trying to Rewrite It?
Very few people get the chance to makeit is a book for you history. Even fewer get the chance to make it twice. Perhaps that is why it is so fascinating to watch Steve Jobs as he tries to usher in the era of mobile touch computing today, just as he ushered in the era of the personal computer three decades ago. But I wonder whether he is repeating the very same mistakes which relegated Macs to a niche market. Or did he learn from those mistakes so that Apple (AAPL) comes out on top this time? heart rules
Jobs is once again pitting Apple’s complete product design mastery against the rest of the industry, except this time he thinks Words to Live byhe will prevail. Whether it is his repeated moves to keep Adobe’s Flash off the iPhone or his growing rift with Google (GOOG) over Android, Jobs is making the iPhonestrat things up again and iPad a relatively closed system that Apple can control. Lyndon Johnson provided guns for Vietnam as well as more butter for citizens as home. Ronald Reagan talked about cutting the size of government, but never really did. Bill Clinton said the era of big government was over, but it wasn't really. George W. Bush was a conservative who pushed through a giant new drug benefit for senior citizens and steady increases in other domestic spending.

U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb ruled April 15 that the National Day of Prayer, created by Congress in 1952, amounts to a call for religious action. Enforcement is suspended pending an appeal by the Justice Department. The case was initiated by the Freedom From Religion Foundation, a Madison, Wis., group that argues the events violate the separation of church and state.

The National Day of Prayer "is totally unconstitutional and it's un-American," said Annie Laurie Gaylor, a co-president of the foundation. Proponents use the annual events "to unite religion and government," she said.

A USA TODAY/Gallup Poll found that 57% of Americans favored having a National Day of Prayer, 5% opposed it and 38% said it doesn't matter. The poll taken May 1-2 had an error magin of +/- 5 percentage points.

The Fire
There was a big fire in one office building in our neighborhood at about nine4 o’clock last night. Many firemen and fire engines came. In the beginning, we saw flames with thick black smoke coming out from the sixth floor; and we also heard the explosion of the gas tank mixed with the noisy sounds from shattering windows. Soon the fire spread one by one to the floors above, and finally reach the top floor. Some aluminum window frames and some brick walls meted and collapsed from the heat. Many people like myself stood outside on the streets watching the fire in horror as we heard the sirens and gas explosions. Luckily there was no one in that office building when the fire broke out. The fire-men were unable to control the fire until the top floor was burned out; it took about one and a half hours for the firemen to put out the big fire. The next morning newspapers carried the story and pictures of the fire.

I still remember an archaic story about a poor boy, his mother died when he was only 5 years old, his father sent him to the orphanage and married with a rich widow.But the boy did not like to live there and he tried to go back home in the evening, but he often caught by the dean of the orphanage,or though he fled out his father would sent him there again.But except his home he had no place to go and to stay, and at that time he was only 5 years old, how could he go to other places?
Time always runs fast than you can imagine, 15 summers have been spent in that orphanage, Tuckle, the poor boy grown into a mature young man.He still never give up to fled away from here and to find his own life by his own will. Today 1st, Apr. is the birthday of the dean, many people came here to celebrate it for him,Tuckle was sent out to buy some wine for the evening party,of couse he was not alone, a big man went with him too.
The town was 15km away from the orphanage, it woukd took them 2 days to go there, it was becoming darker and darker, so they went to a hotel and decided to spent one night there.After dinner they went to bed, but Tuckle could not fall to sleep as he was thinking how to go outside.He opened his eyes and waited, when the clock knocked 12 in the evening, he found the big man was deeply slept.It was the good time to flee away.So he picked up his things and went out quietly.Guess this time he could succeed? But both we and Tuckle were wrong,the big man caught him and hit him hardly,his head and mouth were blooding."The dean told me to be careful about you,he said you would flee away,and he also told me that if you really do, i can even kill you" "Please,please do not kill me,and i would never do that again!"Tuckle begged.The big man went to sleep and left Tuckle there crying alone...
Next day they went back with two buckets of wine, on their way home,Tuckle did not say one word, he was deeply scared by that big man and the dean.But in his mind he never give up to go away...

One windy spring day, I observed young people having fun using the wind to fly their kites. Multicolored creations of varying shapes and sizes filled the skies like beautiful birds darting and dancing. As the strong winds gusted against the kites, a string kept them in check. Instead of blowing away with the wind, they arose against it to achieve great heights. They shook and pulled, but the restraining string and the cumbersome tail kept them in tow, facing upward and against the wind. As the kites struggled and trembled against the string, they seemed to say, "Let me go! Let me go! I want to be free!" They soared beautifully even as they fought the restriction of the string. Finally, one of the kites succeeded in breaking loose. "Free at last," it seemed to say. "Free to fly with the wind." Yet freedom from restraint simply put it at the mercy of an unsympathetic breeze. It fluttered ungracefully to the ground and landed in a tangled mass of weeds and string against a dead bush. "Free at last" free to lie powerless in the dirt, to be blown helplessly along the ground, and to lodge lifeless against the first obstruction. How much like kites we sometimes are. The Heaven gives us adversity and restrictions, rules to follow from which we can grow and gain strength. Restraint is a necessary counterpart to the winds of opposition. Some of us tug at the rules so hard that we never soar to reach the heights we might have obtained. We keep part of the commandment and never rise high enough to get our tails off the ground. Let us each rise to the great heights, recognizing that some of the restraints that we may chafe under are actually the steadying force that helps us ascend and achieve.
